Obama’s Kind Gesture

Published by nh2008 at 6:25 pm under Current Events Edit This

President Elect Barack Obama is planning a dinner in Senator John McCain’s honor. I really think that this is such a nice gesture from the president elect. This dinner will happen on the evening before the president elect’s inauguration. The President Elect will also hold dinners for Colin Powell and Joe Biden who is his new vice president. The president elect has really advocated being bipartisan people. These dinners show how bipartisan he is.John McCain and Sarah Palin said a lot of terrible things about the President Elect during the presidential campaign. Barack Obama is letting bygones be bygones and is extending a hand across the aisle. I really do respect him for this. Senator John McCain has served out country for many years and even though he did not win the presidential election, we should still all respect his valiant effort to win. The president elect has showed that he has true character and does not hold grudges. I really do respect the man who is our new president.
