Why Are We Bailing Out Large Companies?

Published by nh2008 at 8:59 pm under Current Events, Economy Edit This

Why are we bailing out large companies? It makes no sense to me. Private citizens cannot get any tax dollars to help them out. I mean you cannot beg the government for bailout money to save your foreclosed home. It does not matter what financial situation you face, you will never receive a dime of government assistance to make the situation better. However, if you are a rich powerful CEO and you run three large automobile companies into the group while making millions of dollars for yourself then you are entitled to bailout money. I do not understand this type of reasoning at all. Tax payers did not cause this crisis, large companies and financial institutions did. It is not fair that everyone has to use their tax dollars for a bailout but we cannot use our tax dollars to help our fellow Americans who are having their homes be foreclosed on.  I hope that the economy gets better. It has been a difficult year. People need relief now.
