The Dow went up today

Published by nh2008 at 8:56 pm under Current Events, DOW, Economy Edit This

The Dow jumped 553 points today.  This is great news since the g-20 meeting will take place soon. There is signs of consumer confidence because democrats want to bail out the failing automobile industry. If President Elect Barack Obama does invest in the failing automobile industry then stocks might continue to improve. Jobs need to come back to the United States of America. The unemployment rate is approximately 6.5% right now. This number is staggering. It is better for the economy if people are back to work because those people will stimulate the economy. The Dow fluctuates all the time but right now it is on very shaky ground. I think that when the new administration has been working for a few months that they will restore investors’ confidence. Hopefully, the Dow will go up tomorrow, we could all use good economic news.

But…but…but…Rush Limbaugh said the DOW dropping was all Obama’s fault, and that it would never go up again as long as he was President…

The auto industry would be a great start, I hope it happens. With oversight. And the money going directly into production and worker’s pay. I won’t hold my breath.

    Cheers
