Democrats Call for New Economic Stimulus Package
The Democrats are calling for a new stimulus package. Now, I am all for money because we all need it but as far as I know these stimulus checks take away from your tax refunds that are coming in April 2009.
Will a second stimulus package work? I don’t know if people will actually stimulate the economy by spending money at malls, restaurants, and other places. I think people will most likely have to pay their already high bills. I mean common sense usually rules supreme in financial situations as far as I am concerned.
What will it take to save the economy- my answer is more jobs. In the 1950’s it was easy to find a job and you had job security. In the 1950’s it was much harder to get credit and mortgages were not given to just anyone there was strict criteria for borrowers. When I turned eighteen every other day I would get credit card offers, auto loan and mortgage offers even though I made $100.00 a week. I was always pre approved and many people I knew were getting the same offers. Greed needs to become a thing of the past because greed has caused out country’s economic problems.
I do not think most people will spend it on recreational things- I think that the economy is so bad that it will be spent on bills as well.

That’s what Obama said it’s for– gas and electricity and energy stuff. That’s the whole premise behind the package.
